At Redmile C of E Primary School, our daily routine is structured to provide children with a balanced day of learning, play, and enrichment. Below you’ll find our school opening times, wraparound childcare hours, and parking guidance for parents and visitors.

CReW Club – Wraparound Childcare

We offer before and after school care through our CReW Club, providing families with flexible childcare during term time.

Start and End of the School Day

School starts: 8:45am
School ends: 3:15pm

The total teaching hours provided in a typical week are 32.5 hours, across 190 days per year, in line with government requirements.

If a child arrives after 8:45am, they must enter via the main entrance at the front of the school. Please note that late arrivals affect overall attendance records. More details can be found in our Attendance Policy.

Redmile Primary School is a Leicestershire HAF Provider (Holiday Activities and Food)

Our Crew Club is very proud to be a Leicestershire HAF provider , accepting HAF vouchers for bookings at any holiday clubs we run. HAF vouchers are issued to those families with children who are in receipt of benefits related to Free School Meals (not to be confused with Universal Infant Free School Meals, which are available to all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2).

Parking at School

To ensure safety and smooth access for all:

Disabled parking is available on-site by request.
No general parking is available for parents on the school site.
Parents driving children to school should avoid blocking driveways or garage entrances in the village.
Please do not park directly opposite the school during drop-off (morning) and pick-up (afternoon) times. This space is reserved for the school bus and must remain clear to avoid congestion and safety issues.

We ask all families to help us maintain good relationships with local residents by parking responsibly.
